The Arts
This facet creates and supports programs to enrich the interest, knowledge and participation of African-American youth in the classical arts, through educational and engaging art experiences. A key to program success is partnerships with the artistic community. These partners provide students with formal training, performance or exhibition opportunities and an annual master class led by a professional artist of color.

The Umbrella Program - “Education Across the Miles” at Watford Hill Primary School/Hopewell, Hanover Parish, Jamaica. Members facilitated art instruction to students during a Global Delegation and engaged with the International Trends and Services facet with the reading and discussion of the book, Krik Krak by the Haitian author Edwidge Danticat
